After each finished project, I usually find my workroom is in dire need or a good tidy-up.
I like to concentrate on each project fully as I’m working and tend to let things pile up until I know I have time to re-arrange properly. This means every time I walk into my workroom, I am ready to stitch – no thinking, no procrastinating – just sit down and work.
Having just finished a large work (the one in the previous post), I decided to concentrate on getting my threads in order. I do have a few threads, but the image shows only a portion of what I have.
It’s also a good time to re-assess the functionality of how I have things organised. I like to work quickly, i.e., not spend a lot of time looking for things, so I really need to see the threads and be inspired for my next colour choice.
It’s not rocket science to see that I need some sort of shelving system which will utilise my small work area more efficiently and leave me with some freed up desk space – always a good thing.
