Christmas can be frenetic and buzzing.
But that comparatively quiet period between Christmas and New Year is a great time for some adjustments – jiggering, tweaking, twiddling, and patching up.
It’s also the perfect time to investigate new directions or fine-tune ideas bubbling away in the background – or simply re-adapt or convert workspaces or practices.
It’s the after-Christmas revamp – the perfect time for an artistic or business pick-me-up.
And who doesn’t want to start the New Year off with a burst of inspiration and creativity?
I’m a huge lover of online courses – especially at this time of year and we’re now spoilt for choice. There are two waiting for me right now. Check out this one by Helen Wells.
There’s just something about continually learning or being inspired to try something entirely new that’s exhilarating and uplifting – and that’s a great way to start the New Year for me.
As artists, we have to keep stimulating and motivating ourselves – to engender change or trigger a new passion.
We have to give rise to new energy or direction – and we’re the only ones who can do it.
Generate enthusiasm and re-kindle passion this Christmas and New Year. It’s a perfect time.
My best wishes to you all for a very happy and safe Christmas – and After Christmas Revamp.
I’m taking a short break and look forward to returning full of pizzaz and creative energy.
