‘If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.’    Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Every day is a fresh start, a blank canvas to step forth again.  Push away whatever happened yesterday, with a buoyant, sanguine attitude.  It’s over.

Attitude, mindset, perspective – whatever you want to call it, has an impact.  Positive, negative, good or bad.  One has the ability to lift and the other to push you down.  And those feelings have power.  It’s a no-brainer to choose the good over the bad, surely?

Can I look at a task and turn it into an opportunity?  For instance, I have to package work to post shortly – something I never look forward to.  Why?  Because it’s fiddly, the Post Office isn’t close by and it takes time.  But if I look at it as the fantastic opportunity I’ve been given to exhibit in a new venue, then the work becomes far more straightforward and pleasurable.

‘Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.’  Roy T. Bennett

Can I do the same with risks?  Am I able to turn them around and look at them as chances?  I’m taking a risk just writing this blog, but I look at it as not only a chance to create a home for my interests but also to reach out to people who may have similar interests.

Is this the unofficial secret of flourishing, successful people?  What you put-out, you attract is a maxim to live by and to work by, or it is for me.

Choice is the opportunity.  Not choosing is the risk.  My glass is definitely, assuredly, clearly half-full.

Next week: Risk or Opportunity
